How to Quickly Get Rid of Your Pimples

What exactly is a zit, and do you need a product to clear it overnight or just to take the red away? Maybe your skin grasps onto concealers pretty well so it is not the red you need help with, but rather the bump from that pesky little guest that has come wanting to make a permanent home on your face. Whichever the case, sometimes products you buy might not work because you are not using the right type of product for your type of pimple.

Pimples range from blackheads to cysts. What you should know, especially since June is Acne Awareness Month, is that the sebaceous glands on our bodies, face and scalp are constantly producing sebum — a waxy substance — so that dead skin can shed off and new skin can grow in its place.

The sebaceous glands are under our pores, so when they get clogged a pimple is born and looking to stay. When your pore is clogged, bacteria inside gets inside and grows. It doesn’t just create one pimple, but can spread to other areas if your pores are not able to breathe and secrete the dead skin cells.

This is why it is always good to keep your face cleansed whether it be with an elaborate day-and-night routine or with using products that can easily be applied to lessen the severity of a zit or keep your pimples from spreading. Don’t forget that the key is to keep your face cleansed and your pores open so that they can breathe and not get clogged with dead skin cells.

Check out the products below to see which one will work for your type of pimple:

Using Proactiv Blackhead Disolving Gel twice a week will clean your blackheads. (Photo: Proactiv)

Proactiv Blackhead Dissolving Gel is a gel that you use once or twice a week. Apply it to your face and it is a soft, silky liquid. Leave it on for 5 minutes as it dissolves the blackheads. Blackheads are caused when the opening of hair follicles become clogged and the dirt and debris becomes black due to oxidation. This product shows a difference on the fourth use, so stick with it!

Papules are the bright red type of pimple commonly referred to as zits that do not have anything inside of them. They are jus raised red bumps that really, really hurt. For these type of zits uses The Better Skin Co.’s Zit No More. It is a roll-on and has a very strong medicinal meets peppermint type of smell. But don’t be turned off by this because by using one little roll before you go to
bed, the redness is gone and overnight it flattens.
