Nail Colors You Wouldn’t Expect for Fall
With the summer sun still vibrant in the DMV, we can almost forget that September is around the corner. But, as we are all too familiar with the weather around here, it can change from hot to cold in one day.
As much as I hate to see summer go, I am ready to embrace fall with all its caramel lattes and golden leaves, which leads me to think about and be reminded of fall colors.
I went to a stylist who is the talk of the town, and she filled me in on what is currently in style and what colors we can expect to be the trend for this fall.
The colors to look out for this fall are not necessarily colors that you would typically think to associate with autumn. As much as we love our lattes and saw it as one of the hot colors last fall, the hot hues for this season are more holiday colors compared to colors that you usually see during fall.
We have Christmas tree greens, metallic grays like the hanging ornaments you would find on a Christmas tree , and blues and yellows that you could find on a string of Christmas tree lights. How very festive this all is.
Here are some of the latest colors being offered this fall from several different brands. It might seem a little odd to skip fall altogether and move on to Christmas, but this is the palate that trendsetters are saying will be in for the next coming months.
Deborah Lippmann’s Wild Thing
Wild Thing from Deborah Lippmann will make you wish you could get the Christmas tree out now
Morgan Taylor’s Rule the Runway
Morgan Taylor’s Rule the Runway is a pastel gray that will make you think of the uniform color of the Christmas ornament collection passed down from your grandmother with soft grays and whites.
Zoya’s Tara
Tara from Zoya will make you think of the plum colored leaves around the mistletoe.
Opi’s A Mirror Escape
OPI’s A Mirror Escape nail lacquer will remind you of clear lights on city buildings.
Essie’s Starry Starry Night
Essie’s Starry Starry Night is reminiscent of sparkly blue ribbons that adorn wreaths or bows on packages during the holiday season.
Floss Gloss’ Gangsta Boo
Floss Gloss in Gangsta Boo is a bright red that will make you lick your lips for peppermint sticks.
Perhaps for Christmas we will have shades from a New Year celebration? Colors are just colors and styles come and go. It is nice to enjoy what your coworkers, peers and friends might all be wearing as nail colors as well. Do not forget that one of the reasons you want to keep up with the trends is to make you feel confident and great.
