Election Night Food and Drink Specials

Are you ready for this presidential election to be over? Who isn’t? We’ve had walls, nasty women, mean hombres, classified emails and just a whole lot of hate from the candidates and their supporters. Here are bars and restaurants in the DMV where you can watch the results come in while enjoying discounted food and a drink – or six:

701 Restaurant

701 Restaurant, 701 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, is serving politically-themed cocktails including the “Make America Great Again” with Moon Drop grape puree, spiced sorghum syrup and sherry vinegar topped with soda and garnished with three grapes or the “I’m with Her” with George Dickel rye whiskey, Flor de Cana four-year old rum, Rocky Mountain peach liqueur and apple cider vinegar garnished with a peach wedge for $12 each.

&Pizza

&Pizza locations are serving their pizzas in limited edition election boxes and serving free craft soda to anyone who shows their “I Voted” sticker on election day.

Art and Soul

Art and Soul, 415 New Jersey Ave. NW, is serving $10 cocktails inspired by swing states across the country. Take your pick of concoctions like the “The Granite State,” which includes rye, bitters, sugar and an orange slice, or “The Great Lakes,” which includes bourbon, vermouth and cherry juice.

Bar Pilar

Bar Pilar, 1833 14th St. NW, is offering food specials like $5 BBQ pork jowl and $7 arancini. Wash these snacks down with $5 house wines, $5 beers or the $10 “Bartender’s Choice Combo” (a can of beer and a house shot).

Bastille

Bastille, 606 N. Fayette St., Alexandria, is serving free boozy fruit and spice election cake to all diners who show their “I Voted” sticker. Plus, the TV in the bar will be tuned to election night coverage and happy hour prices will extend until 9 p.m. It will also be taking a “Straw Poll” featuring the “#Crooked” for Hillary, “The Deluded Little Manhattan” for Donald, “Live Free or Die Johnson” for Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson, “Paging Dr. Stein” for Green Party candidate Jill Stein and “I Vote Canada” opting out of the country all together.

Bayou Baker

Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery, 901 Pennsylvania Ave. SE and 1515 N. Courthouse Road, Arlington, is taking 15 percent off orders of $10 or more for customers who show their “I Voted” stickers.

BBQ Joint

BBQ Joint, 2005 14th St. NW, is combining its “Drag Meat Tuesday” with election night for a “Drag the Vote” party with three drag queens helping to ring in the new president. The restaurant is also serving $10 food specials that riff on memorable election moments, such as “Build a Taco Wall” and “Grab Them by the Ribs.” Wash the food down with the $8 “Whisky Leaks” cocktail.

Beuchert’s Saloon, 623 Pennsylvania Ave. SE, which usually doesn’t have televisions, but will on election night, is serving drinks like the “Bad Hombre,” “Ken Bone Punch,” “Make Martini Great Again” and “I’m With H.E.R.” for $10 each.

Blackwall Hitch

Blackwall Hitch, 5 Cameron St., Alexandria, is offering two election-themed cocktails for $11 each. “The Righetous” is made with Deep Eddy cranberry, Domaine de Canton, ginger liqueur, cranberry juice and Sauvignon Blanc; or “the Laudable” with Cruzan light rum, Lillet Blanc and blue curacao garnished with an orange peel.

Boqueria

Boqueria, 1837 M St. NW, near Dupont Circle is serving unlimited tapas and drinks for $50.

Bourbon Steak

Bourbon Steak inside the Four Seasons Hotel, 2800 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, is serving guests in the bar and lounge area wearing “I Voted” stickers complimentary “freedom fries” cooked in duck fat. Guests can also toss a vintage-style ballot in a whiskey barrel marked “D” or “R” for a shot at winning an all-inclusive, wine-paired dinner for two at Bourbon Steak and a night in the Four Seasons’ presidential suite.

Brookland’s Finest Bar & Kitchen

Brookland’s Finest Bar & Kitchen, 3126 12th St. NE, is holding an all-day happy hour starting at 11 a.m. with $5 drafts and $6 glasses of house red or white wine. Just make sure to vote first—you’ll need to show your “I Voted” sticker.

Café Saint Ex

Cafe Saint-Ex, 1847 14th St, NW, is having a cozy viewing party on its back patio. Roast s’mores and sip hot drinks while watching the election results on a projector.

Carmine’s

Carmine’s, 425 Seventh St. NW, is offering a $12 “Trump-Tini” made with Maker’s Mark bourbon, sweet vermouth, and bitters or the $12 “Hilla-Rita” made with tequila, limoncello and amaretto.

Churchkey

Churchkey, 1337 14th St. NW, is hosting a beer battle, challenging six local bartenders to put their own spin on Flying Dog Brewery’s Truth Imperial IPA by adding elements like lime peel, ginger or cardamom. For $12, you can try a flight featuring 4-ounce samples of each version and vote for your favorite.

Circa

Circa, 1601 Connecticut Ave. NW, 2221 I St. NW, 99 M St. SE and 3010 Clarendon Blvd., Arlington, is offering happy hour prices from the moment it opens at 11 a.m. It’s never too early for a Bloody Mary, right?

Declaration

Declaration, 804 V St. NW, regularly serves politically-themed pizzas inspired by the original 13 colonies. But on election day, you can indulge in all-you-can-eat Brooklyn and Margherita pizzas and all-you-can-drink American mules and draft beers.

Duke’s Counter and Duke’s Grocery

Duke’s Counter, 3000 Connecticut Ave. NW, and Duke’s Grocery, 1513 17th St. NW, are offering customers wearing an “I Voted” sticker on Election Day a $1 beer, glass of wine or mixed drink.

El Rey

El Rey, 919 U St. NW, is going all out for Hillary Clinton. If you’re with her, you can throw darts at a cardboard Trump cut-out, play Pin the Toupée on Trump and drink $2 mini Coronas perfect for small hands.

Eno Wine Bar

Eno Wine Bar, 2810 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, is offering a complimentary tomato bruschetta to guests who voted. Those who mention the password “POTUS” can also receive 30 percent off bottles of American wine.

Garrison

Garrison, 524 8th St. SE, is pricing select beers at just $2.16.

The Grill Room

The Grill Room inside the Rosewood Hotel, 1050 31st St. NW, is offering diners blue and red plate lunch specials from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. including chicken breast surryano with ham, spätzle and friend egg; Texas-style pulled pork sandwich on Texas toast with onion rings and coleslaw; Louisiana gumbo with Cajun potato salad; crispy fried open-faced Maryland soft shell crab sandwich with mayo, fried spring onion, shoestring fries and pickled cabbage; Maine lobster salad with roasted and raw heirloom beets, zesty greens and a horseradish-lime-cumin dressing; or grilled Washington state salmon with geoduck clam and apple ceviche and a shot of coffee. At the restaurant and The Rye Bar, election-themed cocktails include “Thyme to Decide” with gin, honey syrup, lemon juice and blackberries; the “Pacific Blue” with vodka, lime juice, simple syrup, Luxardo maraschino liqueur blue curacao garnished with blueberries and a lemon twist; or “The Green card” with mescal, honey, lime and ginger syrup garnished with a lime wheel and basil leaves priced from $14-$16.

Hank’s Oyster Bar

Hank’s Oyster Bar, 1624 Q St. NW, 633 Pennsylvania Ave. SE and 1026 King St., Alexandria, is serving $1 oysters on the half shell and “Make It Quick & Painless” oyster shooters. The Dupont Circle location is also getting crafty with “Wanna Go to Canada?” poutine, “Left or Right” wings and “Bi-Partisan” platters.

Jack Rose Dining Saloon

Jack Rose Dining Saloon, 2007 18th St. NW, hosting “I’m with Beer,” an Allagash brewing Co. beer bash starting at 5 p.m. on its rooftop terrace featuring 13 rare Allagash been on draft, voting ballots for the best brew, prizes and live election results on four large flat-screen TVs. The Allagash drafts are $2 off all night.

Lincoln

Lincoln, 1110 Vermont Ave. NW, is offering unlimited bar snacks, Moscow Mules and Prosecco for $50 per person. You can also try specialty cocktails called “Hillary’s Inbox” and “Trump Tower” for $11 each.

Logan Tavern

Logan Tavern, 1423 P St. NW, is serving complimentary “campaign trail mix” along with some patriotic hats, tiaras and leis from 5 p.m.-closing. For $9 each, you can also try cocktails called “The Hillary.” a strong blend of gin and honey syrup, or “The Donald,” a screwdriver topped with golden cinnamon flakes and a cotton candy “toupee” while watching the results come in projected on the wall.

Maple

Maple, 3418 11th St. NW, is holding a back patio party. Under the warmth of heaters, you can watch a big-screen projection of the election results and fill in a giant electoral map as the states are called. In honor of the 2016 election, Maple is also taking 16 percent off all appetizers and flatbread pizzas and serving half-price drafts and $4 glasses or red and white wine.

Mulebone

Mulebone, 2121 14th St. NW, will host TVone’s Roland Martin offering live commentary as results roll in.

Off the Record

Off the Record at the Hay-Adams hotel, 800 16th St. NW, has four election-themed cocktails priced at $16 each. The offerings include “Hillary’s Last Word” with Bombay Sapphire, lime juice, green chartreuse, Luxardo maraschino and grenadine garnished with a maraschino cherry and lime zest; the “Kainenhattan” with Plantation rum, Antica Formula red vermouth and angostura bitters garnished with a maraschino cherry and an orange wheel; the “Trumpy Sour” with Knob Creek bourbon, whiskey barrel-aged bitters, lemon and honey garnished with a sprig of thyme and a dehydrated lemon slice; and “Pence’s Tea Party” with Laphroaig 10-year whiskey, Oban 14-year whiskey, Amaretto Disaronno, Bénédictine, orange juice, ginger syrup and vanilla extract garnished with crispy bacon and an orange peel.

Orange Anchor

Orange Anchor, 3050 K St. NW, is serving unlimited Miller Lite bottles or champagne for $10 all night.

Ottoman Taverna, 425 I St. NW, has two election-themed cocktails priced at $14 each. “The Pantsuit” is made with vodka, lime juice and house-made peppermint shrub topped with sparkling wine; or “The Side Sweep” made with gin, fresh muddled basil, strawberry, raspberry, lime-honey water and blue raki.

Oval Room

Oval Room, 800 Connecticut Ave. NW, is serving two election-themed cocktails, the “Build the Wall” made with Muscat grape puree, spiced honey syrup and Champagne vinegar topped with soda and garnished with three grapes, and the “Madame President” with Cynar, lemon juice, Gifford Abricot, Angostura rum and sparkling wine topped with an orange twist for $12 each.

Policy Restaurant & Lounge

Policy Restaurant & Lounge, 1904 14th St. NW, is offering $4.50 beers, $5.50 wine and $6.50 cocktails all night. Some of the happy hour food specials are also a steal, like the $4 quinoa-and-cheese fritters and the $4 shrimp empanadas.

Sauf Haus Bier Hall

Sauf Haus Bier Hall, 1216 18th St. NW, has $2 off all beers, wines and house cocktails when you wear your “I Voted” sticker.

Texas Jack’s Barbecue, 2761 Washington Blvd., Arlington, hosts a “Tears & Beers Election Day Watch Party” with four TVs and extended happy hour specials at the bar area from 4 p.m.-closing. Draft beers and glasses of red or white house wine will be $5. The kitchen will be serving up $5 pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw and Sriracha pickles, brisket sandwiches with quick-fried red onion and queso, ’87 Cutlass Supreme nachos with pulled pork or brisket and house wings.
