Area Restaurants Serve Easter Specials
This Easter be sure to hop on over to the many DMV restaurants offering fabulous holiday brunches on April 16. From family-friendly menus to intimate and sophisticated dining, diners have a bounty of options for creating a memorable Easter meal.
701 Restaurant
701 Restaurant, 701 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, is offering a three-course brunch menu priced at $55 per person from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. with dinner served from 5-9:30 p.m.
All Set Restaurant & Bar
All Set Restaurant & Bar, 8630 Fenton St., Silver Spring, will offer a brunch buffet with seatings at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Priced at $30 per person and $15 for children 12 and younger, the menu includes scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, chicken sausage, smoked salmon and bagels with capers, pickled red onion, dill cream cheese, and sliced tomato, pancakes and French toast with macerated berries, whipped cream, and Vermont maple syrup. Lunch items include twice fried chicken wings, Caesar salad and fresh fruit. For dessert, enjoy baby cakes and chocolate chip cookies. Bottomless mimosas can be added for an additional $20 per person.
Ardeo+Bardeo
Ardeo+Bardeo, 3311 Connecticut Ave. NW, is serving a three-course, prix fixe menu from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. priced at $39 per person. A special kids’ plate priced at $19 will also be available for children under 10, which includes eggs, bacon and fruit.
Bastille
Bastille, 606 N. Fayette St., Alexandria, will offer a $49 three-course menu from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., evolving from brunch through dinner with brunch entrees available until 3 p.m. Appetizers include carrot-ginger bisque with crème fraiche and scallions; shrimp beignets with guacamole and lime and more. During brunch hours, selections include PB & J French toast, peanut butter and raspberry jam stuffed brioche French toast with maple syrup, two fried eggs and duck fat home fries; and breakfast Parisien, Parisian-style scrambled eggs with bacon, croissant and duck fat home fries. Entrees available all day include bacalhau a Portuguesa, a cod filet with olives, capers, onions, fingerling potatoes, fennel and carrots; and couscous de barbes, braised lamb shoulder, merguez, lamb kefta, Moroccan-spices summer vegetable stew, garbanzo beans, couscous and harissa-lamb jus. Desserts include carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, caramel ice cream, toasted walnuts, crème anglaise and crispy carrots; lemon ginger butter bar with blueberries and blueberry ice cream; almond mousse with almond cake, strawberries, candied almonds, white chocolate and strawberry sorbet; and Valrhona bittersweet chocolate almond cake with chocolate glaze, raspberry coulis, Valrhona chocolate ice cream and raspberries.
Bibiana Osteria-Enoteca
Bibiana Osteria-Enoteca, 100 New York Ave. NW, has a three-course prix fixe Italian menu with a choice of antipasti followed by a secondi and a tasting of Italian desserts to share for $50 per person. It will be served from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Bombay Club
The Bombay Club, 815 Connecticut Ave. NW, is serving a Champagne buffet brunch this Easter. Diners will enjoy live piano music and a traditional Indian brunch for $28 per person or $40 with bottomless Champagne from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Bourbon Steak
Bourbon Steak at the Four Seasons Hotel, 2800 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, will host its second-annual Easter-Bottle Hunt at 3 p.m. for brunch guests 21-and-olderver. Diners can poke around the patio in search of hidden pastel prizes to take home. In place of eggs, there will be ribbon-wrapped bottles of rare WhistlePig Whiskey. The three-course, prix fixe brunch menu will be served from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. with choices including apricot and almond Dutch baby pancakes with warm bourbon barrel aged syrup and vanilla Chantilly, and savory tater tot poutine with foie gras and warm cheese curds butter gelato. A candy-filled egg hunt for children will be held from 12:30-1 p.m. on the lower level with the Easter Bunny himself on hand.
Casolare
Casolare, 2505 Wisconsin Ave. NW, will offer a three-course, prix fixe brunch menu from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. for $45 per person. Diners will choose one antipasti, one main course and one dessert. The choices include items like house made stracciatella, lobster eggs benedict, strawberry and rhubarb popover pancakes, green eggs and Italian ham croissant sandwich and cannoli. Sides will be available a la carte, as well as various brunch cocktails, fresh juices and coffee.
City Tap House
City Tap House, 901 Ninth St. NW, is serving a brunch buffet at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. priced at $45 for adults and $15 for kids ages 10 and younger. The meal features carving and omelet stations, pancakes and other breakfast favorites, and an Easter candy station piled high with goodies. Coffee, tea and nonalcoholic beverages are included.
Decanter
Decanter at the St. Regis Hotel, 923 16th St. NW, is offering a holiday brunch from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. for $85 per adult or $43 for children ages 4-12. The buffet will include Belgian waffles topped with fresh berries, Wagyu brisket with a mushroom confit and sweet potato poutine, and a sweet cart full of seasonal favorites including carrot cake with cream cheese icing. Bottomless mimosas or Bloody Mary with an Old Bay twist can be added for $25.
Del Campo
Del Campo, 777 I St. NW, is offering a bottomless Easter brunch from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. for $55 per person and $25 for children 12 and younger. The meal includes hand-cut meats such as pulled and smoked cote de boeuf, stuffed lamb saddle remoulade, Peruvian chicken and roasted and smoked pork shoulder; an antipasto bar with bacon, egg and cheese empanadas, smoke scrambled eggs, souffled pancakes, beet stained deviled eggs, wild greens salad, charcuterie and cheese, pasta salad, charred potato salads and tortillas Español; and sides of vegetarian pasqualina tart, grilled beans, charred cauliflower and grilled jalapeno mashed potatoes.
Le Diplomate
Le Diplomate, 1601 14th St. NW, will transport guests to Paris in spring with it “Joyeux Paques” specials during both brunch and dinner service. Executive chef Michael Abt is roasting Easter lamb with thyme, fragrant rosemary and dijon mustard available with a side of vegetables including traditional French flageolet beans with aromatics and tender roasted carrots with honey and savory thyme. For diners looking for more classic Easter treats, the restaurant will be gifting guests a basket of sweet caramel-filled chocolate eggs for every table.
The Grill Room
The Grill Room, located in Georgetown’s Rosewood Hotel, 1050 31st St. NW, will offer a holiday buffet from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. for $65 per person and $30 per child 12 and younger. Starters, including oysters on the half shell, shrimp cocktails, tuna tartare, fresh fruit, quinoa salad with coddled eggs, artisan breads, breakfast pastries, charcuterie and artisanal cheeses, will be placed throughout the restaurant for guests to help themselves. Plated entrees include cinnamon raisin brioche French toast with strawberries, maple syrup and whipped cream; shakshouka, eggs cooked in a zesty tomato sauce with avocado and labne; smoked salmon eggs benedict with zesty greens and a Champagne vinaigrette; braised pork belly benedict with Johnny cakes and smoked paprika hollandaise; and duck confit hash with onion, avocado and herbs. Dessert on display will include cupcakes; eclairs; lemon bars; brownies; fruit parfait; house-made peeps and assorted candies. Children will receive complimentary Easter baskets filled with eggs and goodies upon arrival.
Härth
Härth in the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner, 7920 Jones Branch Dr., McLean, will feature a buffet from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. priced at $45 per adult and $25 for children ages 3-10 using herbs from its onsite garden and honey collected from the rooftop beehive. Selections include crème brûlée French toast casserole, carving stations featuring herb pepper crusted prime rib and a cooked-to-order omelet station. Bottomless mimosas will be available for $10 along with a specialty cocktail with elderflower liqueur, sparkling wine and fresh lemon juice for $6, and apple cider and house-made ginger beer mocktail for $3. Diners can take a picture with the Easter Bunny and participate in an Easter egg hunt with grand prizes for the winner of each age group, up to $1,500 in value!
Hula Girl Bar & Grill
Hula Girl Bar & Grill, 4044 Campbell Ave., Shirlington, is serving an a la carte Hawaiian Easter brunch from 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. with live ukulele music. Selections include Spam and eggs; banana and macadamia waffles; and chicken katsu and waffles. Tropical Mimosas will be available at $25 for a bottle of bubbly and a carafe of tropical juice for diners to mix their own to taste at the table. Dinner, served until 9 p.m., includes poke, Waialua root beer sticky ribs, North Shore shrimp and Spam musubi
Osteria Morini
Osteria Morini, 301 Water St. SE, is honoring the Italian Easter tradition with a three-course holiday meal served family-style priced at $55 per person and $25 for children 12 and younger. The menu, inspired by Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region, includes cacio e pepe salad with young romaine lettuce, house-made Caesar, fried capers, and focaccia croutons; agnello of slow-roasted lamb shoulder served with celery root, fresh fava beans and bright radish; and salmerino alpino with wood-grilled Artic char, spring asparagus and airy zabaglione. Dessert offerings include torta di carote with molasses cake, golden raisins and honey-caramelized carrot puree; caramele with guanaja crema, salted caramel mousse and sweet toffee; and fragiole e crema of lemon ciambella cake, whipped zabaglione, fresh strawberries and honey meringue kisses.
Oval Room
The Oval Room, 800 Connecticut Ave. NW, features a three-course, prix fixed menu from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. for $55 per person or $75 per person with wine pairings.
Red’s Table
Red’s Table, 11150 South Lakes Dr., Reston, is offering a special a la carte Easter brunch menu from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Dishes will include slow cooked leg of lamb with grilled asparagus and minted hollandaise; corned beef hash with two 63 degree eggs and spicy hollandaise; a fresh baked cinnamon bun in a coffee mug; crispy caramel French toast made with slices of bread pudding topped with caramel, whipped cream and powdered sugar; a frittata with potatoes, cheddar and green onions topped with dressed greens and hollandaise; sausage biscuit sliders with maple sage sausage patties and American cheese served with home fries; and crab cake benedict wtih two 63 degree eggs on buttermilk biscuits with spicy hollandaise and home fries; as well as sausage and gravy served in a cast iron skillet with black pepper cream gravy, home fries, two 63 degree eggs and maple-sage sausage. Brunch dishes are priced from $5-$27.
The Riggsby
The Riggsby, 1731 New Hampshire Ave. NW, will feature a two-course, prix fixe brunch from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. for $39 per person. The meal begins with a basket of house-made pastries for the table and a hot beverage of choice. Diners will then have the choice of various starters, such as a classic Caesar salad or avocado toast, followed by an entrée of choice, including options like the Schlow Burger, vanilla soaked French toast or a mushroom, asparagus and goat cheese omelet or crab cake benedict. All bottles of sparkling wine and champagne will be half price.
Ripple
Ripple, 3417 Connecticut Ave. NW, is serving a family-style three-course Easter lamb feast tasting menu for $45 per person along with it’s a la carte menu from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. The lamb feast includes white asparagus salad, radish crudité, burrata salad, charcuterie and cheeses, roast leg of lamb, sugar potatoes, peas and spring onions, Morell mushrooms, mostarda, citrus ambrosia, orange-mango sherbet, pizzelles and maple vanilla ice cream.
Roof Terrace Restaurant
The Roof Terrace Restaurant at the Kennedy Center, 2700 F St. NW, is celebrating with its annual Easter brunch and a special appearance by the Easter Bunny. Brunch will be served from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and cost $48 for adults and $24 for children. The menu includes prime rib, a raw seafood bar and seasonal gourmet salads alongside traditional breakfast foods, including made-to-order omelets and homemade scones, muffins and Danishes.
Top of the Hay
The Top of the Hay, located in the Hay-Adams hotel at at 800 16th St. NW, is serving an Easter buffet from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. for $120 per person, which includes a glass of Taittinger upon arrival, and $60 per child aged 12 years and younger. The buffet will feature a carving station, starters and salads, as well as seasonal and local specials such as Maine lobster salad with grapefruit, avocado, cucumber and citrus vinaigrette; heirloom fingerling potato salad with duck prosciutto, pickled mustard seed and chervil; Virginia lamb cutlets with fava beans, baby heirloom carrot and rosemary jus; slow roasted Virginia ham with confit pee-wee potatoes and thyme scented natural jus; and Maryland jumbo lump crab cakes with roasted sunchokes and sweet baby peppers. Desserts include carrot cake; lemon-ginger mousse; and housemade peeps and chocolate bunnies
Trummer’s on Main
Trummer’s on Main, 7134 Main St., Clifton, Va., will offer a three-course menu from 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m. for $68 per person and $25 for children 12 and younger. Selections include terrine of braised rabbit with crisp apple, spring rhubarb, pickled mustard and fresh mache; charcoal roasted ham with tender sweet potatoes, poached egg and pork cracklin’; and black cod and white beans with heirloom tomato, sunflower seeds and green garlic broth. Desserts include pastry chef Meagan Tighe’s Golden Goose Egg, white chocolate “egg white” and silky coconut mousse encasing a passion fruit and mango “yolk” dipped in a white chocolate shell and coated in 24 karat gold leaf on a bed of bittersweet cocoa cake in a “nest” of hand-shaved chocolate. The Easter dessert delicacy is garnished with the first sprouting of herbs and flowers from the restaurant’s patio garden. The Golden Goose Egg is $45 and available from April 11-16.
Via Umbria
Via Umbria, 1525 Wisconsin Ave. NW, is special Easter brunch for $35 per person with fresh pastries, sides, an entrée and dessert all paired with bottomless Rossinis, mimosas and Bloody Marys and orange juice for the kids. Family-style sides include Pequa Valley Farms yogurt parfait, sweet and spicy salad and roasted spring vegetables, while entrees include buccatini with peas and spring onions topped with crispy pancetta; chickpea fritter with roasted pepper cream and spinach; or scrambled eggs with spring asparagus and toast. Dessert includes Nutella pizza. The restaurant will also host a chocolate egg decorating class on Saturday, April 15. Participants will learn the basics of tempering chocolate, using molds and decorating with chocolate for $35 per person. The store offers Easter delicacies from Italy including 18 different types of Colomba di Pasqua, Italian Easter bread shaped like a dove and topped with pearled sugar and almonds; chocolate Easter eggs; and torta di Pasqua, an Umbrian Easter bread prepared with eggs and cheese baked fresh in house for $15-$30 depending on the size.
The Willard InterContinental
The Willard InterContinental, 1401 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, will is offering Easter brunch with seatings at 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. for $110 per adult and $55 per child ages 5-12. The meal features made-to-order pancakes and waffles, an omelet station, a cheese and charcuterie display, seafood and carving stations, as well as an assortment of desserts and dark chocolate fountain.
Vinifera Wine Bar & Bistro
Vinifera Wine Bar & Bistro in the Westin Reston Heights, 11750 Sunrise Valley Dr., Reston, is serving a brunch buffet along with an Easter egg hunt and petting zoo in the parking lot from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. priced at $59 for adults, $25 for children 12 and older and free for children younger than 12. The buffet will feature French toast, carved prime rib, house-brined and Cherrywood-smoked pork loin, and assorted pies, cakes, desserts and pastries.
