Affordable Fall Makeup Finds You Will Need
I have shared a lot of my new favorite products recently, but not all of my fall beauty updates come at a higher price point. Quite a few of my new makeup picks are at a lower price point, and I have to confess they are performing just as well as my pricier options (and sometimes they are better).
A few of my recent favorites are beauty exclusives from Walmart, such as the perfect shiny lipgloss and a pregnancy safe lash serum. I have been a bit surprised browsing around the beauty section, there are quite a few higher-end brands such as Clarins, Nars and even Missa. It is a great place to look for hard to find items, they have a lot in stock!
L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara Primer/Base
This duo is the key to more volume. I have to admit, the regular mascara is pretty much always enough length and volume for my lashes, but there are times when I want to be a little extra. I apply the primer (which is a very light pink) and then immediately apply the mascara. I do swipe both wands with a tissue before applying, they can clump together if I have too much product. However, that wipe is just enough to ensure that I have removed all of the extra mascara and I get a perfect application. Be careful if you wear glasses!
Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage, Long Lasting Under-Eye Concealer
Remember all the hype when full coverage, but easily blended concealers started appearing at a higher price point? I was asked all the time for my favorite lower priced dupe and I didn’t have one. There were some decent concealers in the drugstore price range, but they didn’t really compare. Until now.
This is hands down the best drugstore concealer ever. For real. It is exactly like those much more expensive concealers. It comes in 12 great shades, feels lightweight and blends very easily with just a fingertip. It covers everything and doesn’t cake or wear off by mid-afternoon. If you are looking for a new undereye concealer, you must try this one!
Maybelline Master Chrome Jelly Highlighter Face Makeup
I love to have a little subtle highlighter on my upper cheekbone, and this gel is perfect! I barely pat it (it feels like a stiff jello), and it puts just the right amount of highlighter on my face. I apply it to my upper cheekbone, nose and cupid’s bow. This is just enough highlighter to catch the light and look pretty, without making me look like a disco ball. This highlighter is quite a bit easier to apply than my previous favorite, a cream/potted highlighter that comes at a much higher price point.
E.L.F.+ Glow Dewy Mist
Ok, I know that I have featured this mist before, but I have been using it so much this fall! After I have washed my face, I mist and apply moisturizer. Once my moisturizer has had a few minutes to set up, I apply makeup as usual. The mist can also be used after makeup, but I prefer to use it before. It has a very subtle shimmer, and when I apply a very light foundation (or just concealer to trouble spots) it makes me look light from within.
L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Plump and Shine Lipstick
I am a sucker for lip products that offer color and hydration, and this one immediately caught my eye! It is also a bit plumping and feels cool on my lips. The color lasts for a few hours, even through sipping on my coffee. I wanted to grab a second color and recently snagged Colour Riche Shine in Burnished Blush also. It is very similar, but it doesn’t have the plumping.
