Making the Most of March Madness
Now that it’s March, you have to prepare your liver for all of this month’s festivities. March Madness truly focuses on the two B’s: booze and basketball. Anything in between tends to fade away or be forgotten. If you’re worried you might lose your significant other’s attention this season, I’ve thought of a few ways to avoid that. The key is that you need to integrate the two.
You’re probably thinking, the only thing love and basketball have in common is a rom-com movie title, but that’s not true. There are tons of ways to integrate sports and dating. Try out these ideas to test if the two really do pair well together. You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take, so what do you have to lose?
Active dates
Get into the sporty mode by planning active dates. Go out to the courts and attempt to challenge your loved one. He or she will think you’re being cute, but you’ll be bringing your A-game to steal that win. Or maybe try out a little flag football and invite both your friends. Be on opposing teams and try to tackle your love interest. Even though that’s against the rules, you get an excuse for some physical contact. Or if physically engaging in sports isn’t your thing, buy tickets to watch a game. Get in the spirit and root for your team with someone special.
Better bet
While you’re in the sports-like mood, make a wager with your someone special. Make separate brackets for March Madness and have fun seeing who wins each game. Place some side bets to make things more interesting and keep things exciting. I know if the Wizards win next week, I’ll get a full body massage. So bet on what you and your significant other want to keep things sporty and sexy.
Geared up
If you really don’t care for sports, but still want to get laid this sports season, your best game play is to shoot for the bedroom. Surprise your significant other by just wearing his or her favorite team’s jersey, and yes I mean only a jersey. Or if you’d prefer, dress up as their cheerleader for the night. Either way, you’ll make him or her forget all about the game and take them into overtime between the sheets.
Some couples love sports and others don’t. Either way, you love each other. So make sure to balance time together and time glued to the television. If possible, integrating love and basketball will make both parties happy. Make sure you score both in the bedroom and on the court this March Madness.
