Scene on the Row
In this Sunday edition of Street Style, we take you to Bethesda Row which, for the fifth year, presented The Front Row. It was three days of fashion events, more than 35 in-store trunk shows, designer appearances, culinary events and more.
The festivities began with an exclusive screening of The Tents, a behind-the-scenes look at New York Fashion Week, with an appearance by director Marcus K. Jones. Friday was the highlight of the weekend: a Summer/Fall 2013 runway show with VIP guest Jessica Alba, who brought her mamacita Catherine (as noted on her Instagram) along and signed copies of her new book before the fashion show. The founders of Georgetown Cupcake Sophie LaMontagne and Katherine Kallinis emceed the event while Drybar founder Alli Webb and bluemercury CEO Marla Malcolm-Beck rounded out a beauty power front row.
Here are some scenes from the festivities on Friday night.
Jessica Alba was in town for a book signing looking as perfect as ever with a high ponytail, collared dress and sheer tights.
Models zigged and zagged on the runway.
Seated in The Front Row? Kate Bennett of The Washingtonian, Tommy McFly from 94.7 Fresh FM, Angie Goff, Richard Jordan as well as Doug Kammerer from News4 and Laura Evans from WTTG.
… and everyone came dressed to impress, from head to heels!
P.S. There was an interactive photo booth! I’ve used one before in London’s Top Shop.
