Make health your priority in 2013!
As easy as it is to tell yourself that your health and fitness is going to be your focus on 2013, it’s not as easy to maintain. How many times have you kept your resolution throughout the entire year? Make 2013 be THAT year!
Make Changes
There are a few things you can do to make sure you hit your goals this year (and not only for the month of January)First off, be realistic about your goals. Make sure you set a goal that you can keep – for example, not eating IS NOT REALISTIC. Try this, eating at least one vegetable per meal, cutting carbs, drinking water/tea instead of soda, cutting sweets and working on portion control (most important) Also, try and give yourself ONE cheat day a week.
My Go-To Tip
Second, here is my favorite tip: tape a photo of your ideal body on your fridge. This is the best type of motivation for me! When you see it, you will be reminded that YOU can be THAT person by the end of the year with a little bit of hard work and self control. Make sure to remember that Victoria Secret models are work-shopped into the magazines, ladies.
Switch It Up
Lastly, HAVE FUN with your workouts.Don’t do the same routine everyday or your body will get used to it and you won’t see results. Plus, you will get bored with it real quick. Try and switch it up – try to do something different! Pick up kickboxing a few days a week or try Zumba a couple of times. Play with those free weights! Use them as you are walking on the treadmill or as you do your squats sets. This will keep it fun and interesting!
