The NHS said that people who exercise regularly are up to 50% less likely to develop Type 2 diabetes and some types of cancer too. It can also reduce the risk of coronary heart disease and stroke by up to 35%.

All adults should aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity each week.
