Dinner Tips for Easter

Easter is on its way, and it is always good to plan ahead to have the perfect Easter dinner. It is true that Easter is a traditional event, and you might look forward to seeing the same food on the table. However, why not make something non-traditional this year? It can be both surprising and pleasing for your guests. Don’t go for ham this April, try the recipes below instead.

Apple-shallot roasted turkey

This roasted turkey is sweet and savoury at the same time. It is because of the easy apple and shallot stuffing. Plus, the quick herb mixture used to rub on the surface of the turkey before roasting it makes it even more delicious. If you don’t have the herbs, you can use any other mixture you prefer.

Ingredients:

1 turkey (12 pounds)
2 tablespoons canola oil
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
2 tablespoons chopped sage
2 tablespoons chopped thyme
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 sprigs parsley
3 sprigs sage
3 sprigs thyme
1 1/2 pounds peeled and halved shallots
1 mediumtart apple, quartered
3 cus water

Crispy roast chicken

Indeed, chicken is not the normal dish you serve for Easter dinner. However, this dish is much easier to make and you will need only four main ingredients.

Ingredients

1 chicken (4 1/2 pounds>
2 tablespoons room-temperature butter
1 small bunch of thyme, basil and parsley
kosher salt

Leg of lamb

It is easier than you think to roast an entire leg of lamb, and the finished roast will look stunning in the middle of the dinner table. This dish calls for a mixture of dried herbs and spices, which are directly rubbed onto the lamb, before it is roasted.

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 clove crushed garlic
1 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 whole bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried sage
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
1 leg of lamb (9 pounds, bone-in)

Rack of lamb with garden gremolata

In less than an hour, you can make this yummy dish, and everyone will think that it took you hours. Simply put the rack of lamb to roast in the oven and make the delicious gremolata by mixing chopped herbs, lemon zest and some salt.

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves thinly sliced garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 rack of lamb
6 sprigs of oregano
1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 tablespoon chopped oregano
1 half lemon zested
1 pinch red pepper flakes
sea salt to taste
