Make Thanksgiving Sexy Again
Thanksgiving is here and that means two things: family and food. We welcome this tradition every year, and spend it with those we care about the most. From family feasts to Friendsgivings, this day always seems to end with everybody being too stuffed and lazily watching football until the first person falls asleep and snores on the couch.
With all the focus on preparing, cooking and eating food, where does your relationship come into play? For starters, you are going to have to talk to your loved one and decide where you are celebrating Thanksgiving — with their family, your family or both? Then of course you need to decide what to make as your contribution to said dinner. Do you cook together or separately? There are so many questions all revolving around food, so why not make it fun?
While Thanksgiving is a family-friendly holiday, it doesn’t have to be boring. Of course there are some traditions you want to keep: turkey, stuffing, pies and more. But why not throw in a few aphrodisiacs. You will be full and hang with the family. But once you are alone with your significant other, you will have the energy to shake things up a bit.
Here are a few ingredients to add to your Thanksgiving fete to spice things up this year:
Swap pies for cake
We all love pie: pumpkin, apple, pecan and more. But why not switch it up and bring a cake to your Thanksgiving feast, specially a banana foster cake. The potassium in the bananas will help keep your energy up so you can push through that fatigue feeling and stay up with your partner all night long without needing a break.
Two for one
On the topic of dessert, why now give dark chocolate covered strawberries a try? Dark chocolate contains phenylethylamine that will make you feel sexy, while the strawberries just set the mood for an adventurous night. So feed this to your partner with caution because this can be a dangerous combination if fed in public. Perhaps save this treat for outside the dining room and inside the bedroom.
Spice it up
Chili peper will stimulate the nerve ending on your tongue and ensure a good time later in the night. Take any normal dish and just give it some flare. Spic up your stuffing, gravy, really anything to set the mood for later when you are awat from the family room and have some alone time.
Thanksgiving is a great family holiday, but it can certainly be stressful. You and your partner deserve a little fun after all the struggles you go through leading up to the day. So make it as fun as possible, without letting everyone in on your secret. You don’t want to be the freaks at the dinner table, but you can easily be the freaks in the sheets when no one is watching.
