Your Gift-Giving Guide for Indian Guys

Choosing gifts for men in India doesn’t have to be a huge puzzle to figure out. With just some careful consideration and maybe a bit of detective work, you can be the best gift-giver at the party.

Keep your relationship in mind

Before you even think about what you are going to give, it is best to first take stock of your relationship to the guy. Gifts for men in India are going to vary greatly depending on what your association is. For instance, if we are talking about a family member, such as a brother, father or uncle, then you can give something that is sentimental without being too personal. Think kitchen gadgets, sports equipment or designer clothing. It all depends on what the recipient is interested in and needs. So in the weeks leading up to the big event, perhaps you can snoop around and try to determine if there is anything he needs or has his eye on in the stores.

Up the ante with advanced tech

Of course, with the ways digital devices have amassed worldwide in recent years, it is no surprise that many gifts for men in India center around the latest technology. Actually, you really can’t go wrong with this choice. Personal listening devices, mobile phones, computers, laptops and tablets … the list could go on and on. Maybe a pair of designer headphones would suit your recipient well. Or perhaps they would like a new tech accessory for their smartphone? Since everything is going wireless these days, you might also invest in something along those lines. If you are truly at a loss for ideas, just hit up the nearest tech store and talk to a store associate. They are bound to point you in the right direction.

Steer clear of these gifts

To finish up, we just want to remind you of some gifts that you should definitely stay away from. First on our list: animal products. You just never know how a person is going to react to this kind of item. Leather and fur can either be a huge turn-off or just a big insult, depending on the recipient’s personal beliefs. Yes, best to stay away from such things. Secondly, anything that is drab, dull and dark is definitely going to put a damper on the day. This is supposed to be a happy occasion, so make it bright and colorful. Use wrapping paper or ribbons that are lively and vibrant so that it reflects the joy and spirit of the event. And finally, be sure to steer clear of anything that lacks a certain personalization. It is the worst feeling to think that the gift you received was chosen at the last minute and with no thought involved!
