Losing Your Identity by Following Trends

There are thousands of destination weddings in Florida, hundreds of runway shows in France and many other events that give you the chance to show everyone how fresh your outfit is.

In fashion, being current is vital. The importance of the latest trends is indisputable. Besides the fact that it makes you cool, it is also giving to the whole concept of fashion a sense of mobility. Let’s say, that’s the main thing that moves the fashion world forward.

Being a latest fashion trend follower is expensive, but at the same time, it boosts your confidence and it simply makes you feel better. Also, if you are a little bit creative, you can figure out different ways of choosing, matching and changing stuff in order to make it look current.

The sad side of following the latest trends is losing your identity. But the fashion world is big, and there are gazillions of styles representing every single trend, which means that there is always a lot to choose from. It is always about the choice.

If you are a passionate fashion fan, you know that keeping in touch with what’s hot right now is mandatory. The thing about losing your identity is deeply connected with falling into the arms of commercialism. You look on “Tumblr” or on “We Heart It” and you see an amazing dress that was re-blogged a thousand times. You know that dress is fresh, it’s the latest trend and you want it.

Suddenly, the commercialism works, and millions of people are wearing the same clothes, listening to the same music, choosing the same life style. Now, think about the fact that the picture of that dress has been re-blogged by so many people that it simply has lost its individuality. And if you’re going to get that dress, you’ll simply get the dress millions already own. Sadly, there is no individuality in the newest trends, and if you want to be unique you will have to not look for outfits on the Internet, but create your own things and maintain the style in your own way.

Being fresh and current is always good, but don’t forget to feed your personality with unique styles of your own and also don’t forget about developing your state of mind and soul.
