Wedge Sneakers: Yay or Nay

The jury’s still out on this trend. I’ve considered wedge sneakers because I’m only 5 feet 5 inches tall and need an alternative to flats, but don’t want something too casual either. They’d travel well, but don’t always work for work.

  • PRO: Concealed heel gives you that edge
  • CON: Can look sporty and bulky

Here are three of my picks:

Vince Camuto Shoes' Frankies Wedge Sneakers (macys.com)

The Vince Camuto looks kind of expensive, doesn’t it? It isn’t (sale: $139.99).

Jeffrey Campbell's Firenze Wedge Sneaker (nastygal.com)

Jeffrey Campbell gives us an upgrade to old Converses in a tie-dye version. Just kickin’ it ($205).

Giuseppe Zanotti's colorblock leather and suede wedge sneakers (saksfifthavenue.com)

Colorblocked shoes exist. Why not, Mondrian-like wedge sneakers as designed by Guiseppe Zanotti? Plus this one has a zipper ($725).

Tell me which one you like, all or none.
