Hungry? Take a Bite Out of Breast Cancer!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!  For the month of October, participating restaurants in the Metropolitan DC area have committed to generously donate a portion of their sales to Pink Jam’s Take a Bite Out of Breast Cancer- a fundraising campaign focusing on raising awareness and early detection for young women and men.

Did you know that Washington DC has the highest breast cancer death rate for women in the United States?  A lot of these deaths are related to late diagnosis and could have been avoided through early detection and an understanding of risk factors. Pink Jam’s mission is to reach out to women and men under 40 and help promote breast cancer awareness!
