8 Fashion Tips to Rock Any Event

Finding the perfect ring or accessory is essential if you want to finish your outfit off stylishly. The right accessory can help you dress an outfit up, or dress it down, as you like. In this post, we are going to go through the perfect fashion tips for accessories.

Gold or silver?

Your skin tone will determine which of these metals look best on you. Yellow gold looks warmer so pair it with warmer colors or use brass jewelry instead.

Silver is cool and can make quite a statement. If this looks best on you, stick to silver or platinum jewelry.

Create a flawless base for rings

If you are going to be wearing rings of any kind, you are drawing attention to your hands. This makes it essential to keep your nails looking clean and tidy. Make sure there is no dirt under your nails and clear off any polish that has chipped.

If necessary, shape your nails quickly before going out.

You don’t have to match everything

About a million years ago, women would not leave their house if their handbag did not match their shoes. Okay, I am exaggerating how long ago that was, but it is to prove a point. Making sure that your handbag matches your shoes or that your lipstick matches your nails is outdated.

You can pair a neon clutch bag with any pair of neutral shoes. The only rule now is to decide whether it will be the bag or the shoes as the statement piece.

You need a statement piece

These make your outfit go from basic and blah to wow. It could be as simple as wearing a huge statement necklace, or something as simple as wearing a gorgeous scarf. The aim is to make sure that your item works with your outfit and the event that you are attending.

If you do have a statement piece, don’t clutter the look by adding too much other jewelry, a single ring can be a showstopper.

Look leaner and taller

A necklace that ends just underneath the bust is all that you need to get this right.

Dress your wrists

There is something unbearably sad about wrists with no jewelry on them. Pile on the bracelets for a really luxe look.

Jewelry sets are not always ideal

Say what? You need to look at the sets individually and the impact they will have on your outfit as a whole. A statement necklace and statement earrings together can overpower your look.

By the same token, a bright necklace and earrings could end up being to busy if you are wearing a top that has a lot of colors in it. If you are going to wear a set, keep the rest of the outfit plain if necessary.

The number one style rule

The rules in terms of fashion are a lot laxer than they used to be. You can wear your shiny baubles when going to work, to the shop, etc., but you still need to consider what you are going to be doing during the day.

Who will you be seeing? What impression do you want to create? Is this jewelry liable to be distracting?
You will need to take all of that into consideration. All-in-all, if you do plan your accessories with these tips in mind, you will find it easier to get things right all the time.
