What Your Celebrity Pair Reveals About You

With award season under wraps, we have all had our fair share of celebrity swooning. From the gowns to the drama, Hollywood has kept us entertained this year. One guilty pleasure of mine is checking out my favorite celebrity couples and how they present themselves on the red carpet. Are they cute and playful, or serious and cool? We all have our favorites, but one thing we may not realize is that our favorite celebrity couples may reflect something about our own relationship goals.

This doesn’t necessarily mean you admire famous couples that remind you of you and your significant other, but it could mean it resembles what you admire in a relationship in general. Maybe you and your boyfriend are basic, so you admire wild, crazy couples who don’t hold back. Or maybe your relationship is complicated so you admire that couple next door act. Whatever you are into, you would be lying if you said there wasn’t a celebrity couple you looked up to or at least enjoyed keeping up with.

Here are a couple of celebrity couples you either relate to or secretly admire to be one day.

The power couple

Let’s face it, Beyonce and Jay-Z reign over nearly all Hollywood couples. They can each make it on their own, but together are a powerhouse. Even after the alleged cheating accusation, Beyonce went on to be the winner with a top selling album. Fans admire them because they seem to have it all together, but aren’t afraid to show their flaws. This sense of realness is very relatable and is definitely a relationship goal.

The popular couple

You hate that you love them, but you can’t get enough of Kimye. These two are very strong personalities, but honestly love themselves as much as they love each other. They would do anything for each other and don’t care what the rest of the world thinks. They are never boring and keep you on your toes. You most likely enjoy looking up to them because they take shit from no one, and you have to admit that much confidence is inspiring in a way. And if that is not the case, “you just hate them because you ain’t them.”

The ever-changing couple

This one specifically goes out to Taylor Swift and whoever she is dating at the moment. If you are single and feel like love doesn’t exist, look towards Taylor for a pick me up. Sure, she has had numerous unsuccessful relationships, but she ultimately radiates hope. She never gives up on love and never lets it bring her down either.

At the end of the day, celebrity couples are no different than you and I. Sure they can effortlessly afford to go on lavish vacations and buy each other pretty much anything, but they still experience relationship struggles and go through rough times and even break ups. Just look at Brad and Angelina or Ben and Jennifer. Heartbreak is something no one can avoid, which is why we admire couples who look like they have it all figured out. So go on and admire Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, because let’s face it they are adorable. But just know all relationships have their ups and downs. If your relationship isn’t like a Hollywood movie, that is okay. It is nothing to worry about. Love the celeb love, but love your love more.
