Which Beauty Box Is Right for You?
With the holiday season coming, you might want to try out some of the monthly beauty boxes that are out there to see which products would make great gifts for friends and family, or maybe even a little something for yourself if you have been good.
There used to be only a few beauty boxes to choose from, but now there are more than 20. You can choose from vegan natural makeup products monthly boxes to high-end makeup monthly boxes to even a Walmart beauty box. So, whatever it is you are looking in a monthly beauty box that comes to your doorstep, the options are endless.
I wanted something not too expensive and that I knew would not be a see-if-you-get-something-good-this-month type of deal, but a guaranteed monthly box of great beauty and health products.
I decided to go with Birchbox for $10 a month. It is one of the very first monthly beauty box subscriptions that came out, so they know a thing or two about what to include in their boxes. Also, I spend a lot on beauty products already, so I was looking for something relatively inexpensive that would introduce me to new brands. I have yet to receive my first box, but from what my friends say Birchbox allows you to pick one of the samples you receive, a nice plus to the rest of the box being a surprise. Also, Birchbox gives you samples of some of the best and up-and-coming brands from haircare to makeup to fragrances. Lower the cost by using Birchbox coupon codes.
For those who are not all about the latest brands and could just do with tried and true beauty and health products, try the Target beauty box, which is only $7 — a steal. The box comes with the products you know and love such as Jergen’s lotion and Cover Girl make up. However, you have to log on to order monthly, so be sure to be on the lookout for when it goes online.
A colleague signed up for the Walmart beauty box, which is $5 a month for a fun gift that comes monthly for her tween daughter. She said her daughter does not need the latest and greatest makeup items, so she signed her up for this one to get whatever comes in the box. Some months the box comes fully loaded with value-size samples of lotions, makeup, deodorants, etc., but that other months it will have only a couple of items. With this beauty box, it looks like it really depends on inventory.
Be sure to budget how much you are willing to spend for a monthly beauty box, then go from there deciding what type of items you would like to receive. Samples are always a good way to try something before you buy a full-size product. You can even give away any products that you won’t use as gifts for your friends and family to try for themselves.
