Finding Your Tinder Fella

Dating evolution never ceases to amaze me. The ever popular dating app Tinder has truly changed the dating game in a short manner of time. In the beginning, it seemed like Tinder would just be used for a quick hook up. But the longer it has been around, the more serious people take it.

At first, I remember having one friend who met their significant other through the app. Now a majority of my friends go on dates or have boyfriends who they originally met by swiping right. So now I am a believer of love at first swipe. Do I think it always works? Of course not. But if you actually get to know someone with good intentions on the app, I think there is potential.

But if you hope to get lucky in love, it is going to take some effort on your part. If you have sucked at finding a relationship previously, swiping around won’t be enough. You might need to broaden your horizons and try something new.

Here are a few ways to increase your chances of finding actual, real love on Tinder:

Be open

If you want more than just a hook up, you are going to have to open up. Exchange numbers with your match and make getting to know each other fun. When you feel comfortable enough, try to arrange a time and place for a date. Obviously make sure to pick a place that is in public in case you need to date and ditch, and don’t forget to share your location with your friends. If the date goes well, you can decide whether or not you want to pursue this relationship any further.

Range limit

If you have a type and it hasn’t been working out, maybe it is time to change things up. Try increasing your age range to meet more mature suitors you would never think to date in the first place. This way you may be able to find someone who actually wants to settle down and have a relationship. While you are at it, think about increasing your location range. Maybe you are too concentrated on finding someone in your area and missing out on someone not too much farther away. Taking chances is part of the fun, so changing things up is worth the gamble. You have nothing to lose.

Try again

If you are attempting to find love on a dating app, it is important to keep your head high. To be honest, you are probably going to go on a couple awkward dates, but don’t let that keep you down. You are going to have to weed out a couple weirdos before you find the real deal.

Lust is easy to find, but love is a whole other story. The great things in life are never easy, so be ready to work. You get as much as you put into it, so go all in for the sake of love.
