Beauty Essentials for Any Vacation

Warmer weather tends to give us all the travel bug, whether you are headed for a tropical getaway for a week or just a close weekend road trip. Either way, you will need to know what to pack. If you’re a makeup junkie, or even if you don’t use that many products, it can be hard to figure out what you really need to take with you. You don’t want to bring your entire beauty collection, but you don’t want to be unprepared either. If you aren’t sure what to pack, check out these must-have beauty items for your next trip:

Foundation with SPF

Wherever you are going, chances are you are going to be exposed to some sunlight. Especially if you are planning a beach vacation, it is important to keep your skin protected from any potential sun damage. Although it may be tempting to skip the makeup and head straight to the beach, avoid burns and long-term sun damage to your face by using a light foundation or tinted moisturizer with SPF.

Setting spray

If you are going to be moving around all day, or even just lazing around on the beach, you don’t want to worry about whether or not your makeup stays in place. Use a setting spray to prevent your makeup from sliding off in the humidity.

Dry shampoo

Keep your hair looking fresh no matter where you are with some dry shampoo. Instead of wasting precious vacation time washing and heat styling your hair, throw in some dry shampoo and your hair will look good as new.

Concealer

Chances are you are probably going to be taking a lot pictures on vacation, so you will want to make sure your skin is camera-ready. You can keep your makeup simple and minimal, but have some concealer on hand to cover any unsightly blemishes that may pop up.

Lip balm

Lips can get very dry in the heat and need sun protection too. Use a light lip balm to protect your lips from sun damage and to keep them moisturized. If you are someone who likes to wear lipstick, swap it out for a tinted balm instead for a lighter feel.

Travel manicure kit

Even if you get yourself a manicure right before you go on your trip, there is always a chance you will chip a nail at some point. Take a small manicure kit with you so you can be prepared for any nail emergencies and touch up as needed.

Makeup remover towelettes

Getting home after a long day of fun and adventure can be exhausting, and it may be tempting to just dive right into bed. You want to make sure you remove your makeup before going to bed, however, to keep your skin clear and avoid breakouts. Take some makeup remover towelettes with you so you can quickly remove your makeup at night.

Cosmetics bag

Lastly, keep everything organized with a cute cosmetics bag. Get one that will fit all of your essentials, but make sure it is not too big for your suitcase or hard to carry around.
