The Hottest Nail Colors for Spring 2016
If you are over winter nail hues, go for something bright and springy to get you in the mood for warmer weather instead. This spring, the usual pastels and corals are in, but there are some new trends for nails that we haven’t seen before. Ask your manicurist for one of these colors or grab some nail polish to do-it-yourself.
Sage
Sage is a toned-down color that can work as a substitute for winter grays. Because it is more of a muted color, it goes with just about any outfit. Try Sage by Zoya for a soft green look.
Pastel pink
If you ask me what colors I associate with spring, my immediate answer would be pastels. The soft and delicate shades embody the season. Try this classic trend by using a pastel pink shade on your nails like Pink Diamond by Essie. Pastel pink gives off an utlra-feminine, springy vibe.
Periwinkle

If you want to try something a little bolder than pastels, go with periwinkle. This shade gives you a pop of color without being too attention-demanding. This soft shade won’t distract or clash with most outfits while still making your nails look vibrant. Check out OPI’s I Am What I Amethyst for a pretty periwinkle polish.
Hot pink
Maybe pastels and soft colors aren’t really your thing. If you want your nails to really stand out, try a hot pink shade. Pink Voltage by China Glaze is a bright pink that is sure to pop with any outfit. This color is great during the day or to dress up your little black dress for a spring night out.
Red
Tan
This is the perfect neutral color for the girl who wants her nail polish to go with everything. Camel-colored ensembles are very trendy right now, and tan nails give off a very chic, trendy vibe. Try Essie’s All Eyes on Nudes nail polish.
Coral

Coral looks great on just about anyone and can actually make fairer-skinned people look more tan! This color is fun and gives off a very ready-for-summer vibe. To try this look, use Sally Hansen’s Coral Reef polish.
Rose gold
Rose gold is very trendy and feminine. This color adds some shine to your nails and gives almost any outfit a classy look. Use NARS nail polish in Pastorale to add a hint of shimmer to your manicure.
Opaque glitter
Although it can be a pain to get off, glitter nail polish can make your nails look stunning. This spring, use a light and opaque glitter shade all over your nails for a shimmery look. Catching confetti from the Whim Bold Glitters Nail Lacquer collection is a pretty pink glitter shade that will make you feel instantly glamorous.

If you are talented at doing your own nails or are having a professional do them, try this new trend. Pastel nail tips were all over the runway at New York Fashion Week this year. If you are a fashion-forward person, this is a great look to go for this spring. Try a peach color on just your tips, like Orly Color Blast Neon Nail Polish in Peach Pastel.
