Turn Your Bad Hair Day Around
In a perfect world, we’d all wake up with pin straight tresses, perfect waves or whatever your hairstyle of choice is. But everyone has that occasional bad day when your hair just won’t cooperate. Not all hope is lost, however. There are plenty of easy hairstyles out there for when you aren’t liking the look of your hair and don’t have the time for showering, styling and whatever else you need to do to salvage your hair. Here are some of the best quick hairstyles that will get you looking great and get you out the door in no time:
Sock bun
This is one of the easiest styles to put together. It can be done with a real sock, but the style has become so popular that many stores now sell circular sponges that work just as well as, if not better than, the original sock. Once you have your sponge ready, the first step is to put your hair into a ponytail. It can be high or low, whatever suits your style. Then just pull your pony through the sponge and wrap from the bottom up. When you’re done, you’ve got a perfect bun!
Side braid
Side braids are versatile and look great as a messier look. Brush your hair thoroughly to make sure there are no knots, then part your hair to the side. Gather your hair to one side and braid! It’s simple, but there are so many variations that can be done with this look. You can do a simple braid, a French braid or even a fishtail. You can pull some hairs out here and there for a messier look or leave it tight and polished looking.
Voluminous ponytail
Ponytails are always a good option, but you can take the look to another level just by adding some volume. First, tease the top portion of your hair, right above your forehead. Then pull your hair back and secure it with a hair band. For even more volume, feel free to tease the top of your ponytail. To top it off, take a piece of hair and wrap it around the hair band. Keep it in place with a bobby pin.
Twisted bangs
This is probably the easiest style on this list. For those of us who have ever had bangs, we know that some days they just don’t look quite right. Make sure your hair is parted to the side for this style. First, take two one inch sections at the front of your hairline. Pull back and twist, and then grab more hair to add it into the twist. Keep going as far as you want and then pin it back. This is great for girls with bangs, but works just as well without them too!
Gibson tuck
The Gibson tuck is a classic style that is so easy, yet makes you look very put-together and glamorous in just minutes. There are many variations of this look, but for an easy version start with your hair in a low ponytail. Separate the ponytail at the base of your head, then pull the ponytail through from the top. Then repeat and pull your hair through a second time and even a third if you hair longer hair. On your last pull-through, tuck the ends underneath the bun.
