Plush Beauty Box
This past Sunday I had the pleasure of attending the first Plush Beauty Box Lashed Beauty Mixer hosted by Blac Chyna at the Stonefish Lounge, where guests enjoyed cocktails, shopping and learning new makeup application tips — with a focus, as one would expect, on achieving perfect eyelash application.
I was immediately drawn to Plush Beauty Box’s display, where I chatted with company owner and founder (and beauty guru) Nathalie Nicole Smith. Located in Brookland since September of last year, Plush Beauty Box is an innovative concept in beauty — it’s not a beauty salon exactly, but a beauty venue and retail space that can be rented by beauty enthusiasts for launch parties, pop-up shops, fashion shows and seminars. In fact, with a minimum of five, you can book a special beauty seminar tailored to your particular interests.
Smith’s passion for skin care, natural health and beauty inspired her to start her business, with which she hopes to empower women through beauty and wellness. Plush Beauty Box’s customized services include hair and makeup by skilled makeup artists, eyelash extensions, natural skin care and anti-aging, and teeth whitening. They also offer PlushRx, a monthly sampling program that allows members to try a variety of the hottest natural beauty and wellness products.
I noticed a bottle of aloe vera juice on display — Smith is clearly a girl after my own heart. She believes in beauty from the inside out and takes a holistic, natural approach to looking one’s best. I plan on stopping by Plush Beauty Box soon — I’m eager to book a seminar with some of my fellow beauty aficionados for an edifying and entertaining evening.
