Fresh-Faced Looks for 2014
It’s time to usher in the New Year with a neutral, yet sophisticated look. Well-known D.C.-area makeup artist and beauty expert, Lianne Farbes — aka The Makeup Girl — models three gorgeous, on-trend makeup palettes that’s she’s created for the new year.
Farbes shares her techniques for playing up the eyes and warming up the complexion (counter that winter pallor!) with a subtle application of bronzer. In each look she keeps the complexion fresh and vibrant with a natural-looking finish achieved with Tarte BB Cream.
To achieve this look with a dramatic eye and neutral lip:
- Tarte BB Cream applied allover with a brush (under eyes too)
- MAC Skinfinish natural applied with a stippling brush
- Lancome Le Crayon Poudre in brunette. Pencil on brows (brush powder through brows)
- MAC Pressed Pigment in Summer Honey (all over — apply with a fluffy brush), Damson (on lid apply with a flat brush) and Jet Couture (in crease apply with a short shader brush). When working with pressed pigment, be extra careful about how much you pick up on your brush because a little goes a LONG way
