Trend alert! Are gladiator sandals making a comeback? Or had they never left?

I saw two fashion bloggers wear them via Instagram this weekend and lo and behold, Women’s Wear Daily posted the Emmanuel Ungaro collection online, too. Sorry sheath, the highlight’s what’s on the feet.

There are a few differences from when these classics first popped up. They’ve been reinvented in a more luxurious manner and many of them are now heeled. The basic black knee-high would be a great transition into fall.
