Last night Gant, the Swedish clothing brand, held its Spring/Summer 2013 collection viewing party at its Georgetown store, 3239 M St. NW. It was a visual feast as not only were employees of the company donning their duds, but the invite-only guests were also all dressed to impress. For a company that has been around since 1949, their style was definitely modern. As a designer label, their style (or prices) might not suit everyone, but you will certainly get what you pay for. All of their attire is classy, sleek and all-around eye-catching without looking as if it’s trying too hard.
Don Draper dapper
If you’ve ever wondered what the Mad Men guys would wear when they aren’t in their office suits, the new Gant collection wouldn’t be a far cry. From the handmade Italian ties to the soft-knitted cotton cardigans, there’s a little something for everyone. And whether it’s a splurge or a regular shopping spot, I would encourage you to try at least one item from their store. It’s a purchase you won’t regret.
