How to Get the Deep Side Part
We could not help but notice the number one beauty trend of the 2013 Screen Actor’s Guild Awards. The deep side part opens up the face and yields instant sophistication for any formal event. Key is the alignment of the part should start at the highest part of your brow. Here are some easy step-by-step instructions on how you too can achieve the SAG awards biggest beauty trend.
Step 1: APPLY PRODUCT
Add a dab of shine lotion to dry hair for a bit of shine and to help tame flyaways.
Step 2: WORK PRODUCT THROUGH
Work the product through your hair with a mixed bristle brush. I recommend a combination of boar bristles and nylon to smooth and detangle.
Step 3: DEFINE YOUR PART
Slide the end of a tail comb through your hair to create a perfect line. Start from the highest part of the brow and pull back.
Step 4: CURL SECTIONS
For a more natural look take sections of hair and curl with a medium barrel curling iron leaving the ends out.
Step 5: BRUSH OUT CURLS
Soften your curls using the same mixed bristle brush. Then brush hair from the side part all the way over.
Step 6: CHOOSE YOUR STYLE
Tailor your look to match your personality. You can keep hair wavy and loose or you can sweep it over the shoulder, pull it into a low ponytail, or put it up in a bun.
