Today, DC politicos are up in arms about a Ticketmaster snafu that sold out Inaugural Ball and parade tickets. But, not to fret, The Peace Ball is the way to go for celebrities and philanthropists alike.
On Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 7:30 p.m.- 1 a.m. Arena Stage’s Meade Center for American Theatre will host ‘The Peace Ball: Voices of Hope and Resistance’. This event will pay tribute to the continuing struggle for peace and justice here in The United States and throughout the world.
Confirmed guests include: Angela Davis, Amy Goodman, Ralph Nader, Katrina vanden Heuvel, Alice Walker, Van Jones, Sonia Sanchez, Danny Glover, Nicole Lee, Avis Jones-DeWeever, Julian Bond, Marian Wright Edelman, Medea Benjamin, Etan Thomas, Dave Zirin, Rev.
