The holidays are here and Siri has my parties scheduled. The festive atmosphere and all the sparkling lights have hopefully boosted your urge to polish up your look. This week’s “get the look” will keep you looking sophisticated, sassy, and fresh throughout your holiday party hopping agenda. Follow these easy steps, strap on your favorite pair of stilettos and party like it’s 2013!
Step 1: Prep your face by cleansing, toning and adding a bit of SPF moisturizer.
Step 2: Add concealer under your eyes and on any blemishes.
Step 3: Apply your favorite foundation. I like stick foundations for their diversity. You can dab it on and swipe more where you need it or add a little moisturizer to it for a more liquid foundation feel.
Step 4: Dab a little shadow primer on your lids to help enhance the color and prevent the shadow from creasing.
Step 5: With a wide shadow brush pat on a matte brown shadow or my favorite… a sparkling bronze. Patting from the lash line first and blending it up and outward toward the outer eye area.
Step 6: With a medium blending brush, sweep on a cream matte shadow from the crease of the lid to the brow.
Step 7: Line the inner rim of your bottom lash line with a cream pencil.
Step 8: Use a liner brush to lightly dab on a brown shadow just under the bottom lashes. Apply a jet black mascara on the top and bottom lashes.
Step 9: Use an angled blushing brush to apply pink/brown blush or bronzer under the cheekbone for a more contoured look.
Step 10: Apply your favorite pink/red matte lipstick.
Play up your new look with statement jewelry like diamond studs and a chunky diamond bracelet or chandelier earrings with your hair pulled back in a tight sleek ponytail.
Either way, remember confidence is key! Own your new look! Wear it…don’t let it wear you! Happy Holidays DC on Heels and INK Cosmetics followers! Thank you for your continued interest, comments and support!
