Halloween costumes don’t have to come from a seasonal warehouse.
Halloween. The holiday where we can dress as our favorite Disney character, the most-talked about celebrity of the year, an animal… or force our significant other to dress up in a couples costume. Though I haven’t dressed up to celebrate Halloween much, I see costume inspiration everywhere, including Rent the Runway and its warehouse full of brand name dresses.
What woman doesn’t like to dress up for a night in a fabulous LBD and jewels? Date nights aside, Halloween is also a perfect occasion to slip into something fancy. If I was dressing up this year, I’d love to be Audrey for a night!
This masquerade ball gown and accessories screams exotic and fun. It’s not very often we get to wear masks – so now is the perfect time. (I’m thinking one with some black feathers – but no Black Swan crazy feathers, unless that’s the look you’re going for.)
It wouldn’t be Halloween without a cat costume of some sort and the “Flirty Kitten” look is a fresh take on the usual feline costume (you know the one I’m talking about…that was very popular in college). Black and gold bustier dress? Shut the front door – after I get some candy!
It’s always fun to think outside of the box when it comes to fashion. And who says that kind of thinking has to stop for Halloween? Break the mold and go for the gold! Dress, that is. If you’re still looking for a last-minute costume and want to work off these ideas, check out RTR’s Blog for the item details.
