Actually, this is a great time to be sporting Stella & Dot. Not only are we in all the major fashions mags, but we’ve debuted a bold NEW e-platform; we are launching our new Style Society on October 1, and our CEO Jessica Herrin was at National Harbor on Friday speaking at Cadillac Ranch!
This is also a good week to be fashionable around DC. It’s DC Fashion Week and events continue today through the weekend! I’m ensuring I don’t miss the Betsey Johnson fashion show Saturday during All Access Fashion at Tyson’s Galleria, along with Nicole Miller, Tory Burch and Stuart Weitzman shows. There are also street festivals, downtown events, and an eveningwear fashion show this week (my fave!), but I’m double booked with Congressional Black Caucus events also going on this week (lots of networking, lots of parties). I’ll report back about what I make it to.
If you’re interested in checking out some actual DC street style, then head on over to a couple of blogs I’m enjoying like The Seventh District. I learned about blogger Nicole at the Fashion’s Night Out event by The Fashionable Life. She documents her looks and others while she’s out and about in the district.
There is also Curator of DC Style blog that features DC style street by street. He captures some of the best looks!
On another “street fashion” note regarding last week’s Emmy’s. I’m always checking out the award show red carpets as the ultimate in street style. I love seeing what starlets and their stylists have come up with, and as an event planner, I’ve noticed how red carpet style also influences bridal fashion these days. I appreciated the structured looks on this year’s Emmy red carpet and the bold red trend. Hot!
I have to say that my best dressed was actually actress Kaley Cuoco in Romona Keveza. Perhaps it’s because I have classic styling on my mind while I plan my 1960s themed party next month, but I loved the look!
Who were your favorites?
This week’s mission: Fall is officially here! What are you wearing on the streets? I’m especially interested in your accessories style. Send me pics at firstname.lastname@example.org and you just might find yourself in an upcoming post!
