You Can Look Like the Stars on Oscar Night
It can be exciting when you realize that you really do not need the most expensive beauty brands to achieve the same glamorous looks that celebrities wear to events, such as the Oscars.
From hair products to makeup, some of the celebrity stylists decided to keep it low budget with the products they used. Just because something is not expensive does not mean that it is not good enough for a celebrity to wear on Oscar night.
Below are some of the drugstore beauty finds that celebrities wore Sunday night to the Academy Awards:
Scarlett Johansson looked amazing with the really short pixie cut she pulled off. It was combed over to one side with a heavy part. To pull of that look, she would have definitely needed some very strong holding spray.
Celebrity stylist Jenny Cho used a Suave Professionals Sea Mineral Infusion Texturizing Sea Salt Spray, which retails for $5.99 at Walgreens. The hairspray is infused with sea minerals to give it body and bounce once the hairspray has set.
Olivia Culpo looked fantastic with the purple rim of makeup around her eyes given to her by celebrity makeup artist Sir John. It was definitely a statement look and a trend for 2017 that we will be sure to see more of.
Her look was pulled off with L’Oréal products, such as the Shady Violet color from their Infallible Paints Eyeshadow Line. It can be bought for $7.99 at Target.
The woman of the night who took home an Oscar for best actress, Emma Stone, had a flawless, old school look from makeup to hair, and you will be happy to know that that look was also achieved with L’Oréal products.
Her hairstylist, Mara Rosak, started by adding L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT Inject Volume Mousse, which can be bought for $3.97 at Walmart, then gave her those touchable, loose curls look by adding L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray, available for $15.99 at Walgreens, after curling her hair.
Born and raised in the DMV, Emma Blancovich has a big appreciation for discovering things to do around town, such as new restaurants to try and supporting the local music scene by attending live shows. During the week she is an editor for trade associations, but on the weekends you can find her hiking up trails with the latest fitness gadgets then getting ready for a night out using the latest beauty and health products.
