The Man’s Perspective of Hot or Not
After dating my boyfriend for almost two years, I’ve definitely adjusted to the taken life as oppose to my old single ways, which seem so long ago. A few things you learn after being tied down is singles are playing the dating game all wrong. It’s really not as hard as it seems to be. Men are simple creatures, and singles just tend to over analyze everything.
One advantage to dating someone for a while is that you can expect real talk. By that I mean they will truly tell you what they love about you, along with what completely turns them off. So for all my singles out there, here are a few tips according to a man’s perspective of what they consider major turn-ons.
Love is in the air
Seriously, men love it when you smell good. Just like animals, they are more likely to be drawn to you if your scent is on point. So invest in a nice bottle of perfume, but don’t overdose and seem like you’re trying too hard.
Girl talk
Men are hardly given the chance to express their feelings, so when given the option to vent and express how they feel doesn’t go unnoticed. If you see that your partner’s upset, let them know it’s okay to open up, and they will truly appreciate it.
Wet and wild
I think it’s the oddest thing, but my boyfriend thinks I look the best when I walk right out the shower. In my head the idea of having no makeup, wet hair and being bare freaks me out
Morning text
Morning sex is great, but it’s not the only thing that makes them happy. Men are simple, and just a good morning text makes them feel loved everyday. So if you’re feeling sweet, send your man a quick morning text before you get ready, and you’ll set him up for a good day.
Besides turn-ons, there are a number of things men absolutely hate and sometimes don’t have the heart to tell you. So if you are guilty of any of the following, just cool it down and try to stop.
Mommy #2
Everyone hates being nagged, but guys especially hate it if it becomes habit. They already have a mother, so don’t try to control their every move. There are plenty of ways to trick a guy into doing whatever you want, and that doesn’t include nagging. So try some sweet talking, and if that doesn’t work, sexy talking always does.
Broken promises
I’ve learned this one firsthand. Apparently promises are huge to guys. Like they trust you, and if you break it they feel betrayed. I think this is odd because I don’t particularly like broken promises, but I understand things happen. So take it from me, and try to stay true to your word. Honesty is the best policy.
Clean up
This kind of ties back to men liking your scent. They love it when you smell like roses, but once you start smelling like garage they start to back off. Don’t get me wrong, once you get comfortable with each other you get more leeway, but hygiene is still always important. So if you go to the gym, a guy will obviously understand you won’t smell great, and that’s fine. Just don’t start skipping showers and looking like a not so hot mess. We like them clean, and they expect that too. Plus, no one will go down under if you smell like Chicken of the Sea.
It’s all about me
Male or female, no one likes a selfish asshole. Everyone’s entitled to their fair share of attention, but if you actually care about someone you need to learn how to share the spotlight. My boyfriend and I joke around about how our relationship is 40/60, meaning its more about me, but that’s okay. Just make sure your aren’t in a relationship that’s 100 percent about you because I can guarantee that one won’t last for long.
Take away
Men are not from Mars. Women are not from Venus. Reality is that we over complicate things as humans, but if you take a step back you will be that things are simple. Be considerate of others’ feelings and literally treat others how you’d like to be treated. So to all my singles, don’t rush into anything. Most of the time you find the one when you least except it. When you find someone who makes you happy it will make you want to make them happy too. And it’s that what love’s all about, being happy.
