Food Options for the Cherry Blossoms
D.C.’s spring time attraction has been slow to unfurl this season. With the whole metropolitan area on “Bloom Watch”, D.C. may find itself wondering if the bashful cherry blossoms, or spring itself, will show up this year. Although the blossoms are in short supply, there is a surplus of dining options to take in while waiting for the pink lovelies to do their thing.
Cuba Libre
Cuba Libre’s Concept Chef Guillermo Pernot provides Cuban-inspired dishes with a 64-seat sidewalk café dining ambiance. This spring the restaurant will throw open their large French windows bringing an airy vibrancy to its Cuban courtyard design.
And during April, Cuba Libre is celebrating national empanada month with special menu selections and prices. You can read about it in our article here.
The Curious Grape Wine, Dine & Shop
Arlington’s newest wine and dine establishment, The Curious Grape, has an intimate 12 seat patio where guests can enjoy a Sunday brunch with carefully selected wine pairings. With the option of full and half size food and wine portions, The Curious Grape is a great place to start your day and still stay light on your feet for sight seeing.
Cherry Picks
The folks behind the National Cherry Blossom Festival have compiled a thorough and tasty list of convenient, appealing dining options for blossom goers. Take a gander at the list.
Enjoy the next few weekends down at the Tidal Basin taking in the tastes and, hopefully sights, of the great Cherry Blossom Festival!
