Get Something for Nothing

Mark your Google calendars, Ben and Jerry’s returns this year with their Free Cone Day! The company has been sharing free ice cream cones since 1979 — the year they went into business! On Tuesday, April 9, participating Ben and Jerry’s Scoop Shops will be giving out one free cone per customer. Check out the locator to find the nearest one to you. There are several in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland.

Two heads are better than one

This year Ben and Jerry’s doesn’t want you to enjoy the freebies alone, so they’ve designed a buddy system. Visit their Cone Together, matching system that promises to match you with a fellow complimenting ice cream fan via Facebook. They will be giving out their classic flavors along with a few new ones such as Candy Bar Pie and Liz Lemon Greek Frozen Yogurt. Haven’t tried them? Well now you can! Get there early as there’s sure to be a line (I know I’ll be in one getting my favorite Cherry Garcia).
