Turtlenecks Make a Comeback!
Funny enough – I thought of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song when I was coming up with this post – but mainly just the “turtle power!” part. While I’m not writing about ninja turtles – we can still run with turtle power because turtlenecks are back in full force!
I can remember having turtlenecks in every color – and then they were no longer “cool.” Since that was a while ago, I actually went out and bought a black turtleneck and I can’t tell you how much I wear it. Ok I can – I wear it a lot! Not only does it keep you extra warm but it’s the perfect closet staple for winter that can be worn many different ways.
Wear Turtlenecks Under Dresses
Yes – you read that right. Turtlenecks instantly transform a summer dress into a winter dress. I am currently playing a little game: what dress can I wear my turtleneck under. And it’s a lot of fun.

The lace dress (above) would be a great summer dress – but add a black turtleneck underneath and black tights and you have a winterized dress. It’s as easy as that!
If you want to try the turtleneck trend, I suggest buying one in a neutral color first. Black is a great start to your turtleneck collection. It goes with everything! Not ready to try the full-on turtleneck? Try a sweater with a higher neck.
