Clarins Unveils New Products at MGM Spa
The spa at the new MGM National Harbor, 101 MGM National Ave., Oxen Hill, opened about three months ago. Last week, I was invited to try its services while also trying Clarins’ new Spring 2017 beauty products, which are sold at the spa.

The experience was nothing short of magical. From the massages that start at your back and end at your fingertips, to the Champagne that is provided at all times while soaking in a rose petaled bath or getting a facial. It is not uncommon for the women who visit the spa to stay all day then head over to do some gambling at the casino and some shopping in the evening. Sarah Jessica Parker’s new SJP store, which is her first boutique, is located in the MGM National Harbor as well.

There were many new Clarins products on display, and I wish I could tell you about all of them. But, I am going to have to sum it down to my two favorite products. If you are not familiar with Clarins, they are a French company that prides itself on finding the best natural ingredients for its beauty products and integrating science with nature in the world of beauty. The company actually has a person who travels the world to find the most unique plants to use in its prodcuts.

My first favorite product is the 4-Colour All-in-One Pen. It comes in the shape of one of those old BIC pens that has four colors in one, except this product has four different makeup colors in one. It has three eyeliners and one nude colored lip liner. You can just throw it in your bag, and you have what you need for the entire night. No more digging around for each pencil at the bottom of your bag. How has anyone lived without this beauty find?

My other favorite is the Hydra-Essentiel Silky Cream SPF 15. This cream is light and smells fresh along with having a cooling effect on your skin once it is applied. It is also made with anti-pollution complex, which is ideal for any type of environment and will actually help restore any damage that has already been done by quenching your skin’s thirst. With my traveling back and forth from city to city, I had been looking for a cream to fight my environmental battles for me.

I highly recommend you visit the MGM National Harbor and check out the spa for yourself. The location is somewhat of its own island isolated from everything else, so it is a nice respite from everyday life. You can also check out the Clarins products they currently have in stock.
