If it is a first date, you can never go wrong with Italian. Darlington House, located in Dupont Circle, is a delicious, modernized Italian restaurant featuring fresh décor and an intimate setting. Darlington House’s winter restaurant week Menu offers a chocolate flourless cake with raspberry coulis that any girl is sure to enjoy. For extra romance, try getting a table either near the fireplace or by the bay window.

For those couples seeking to add some spice to their dates, Rosa Mexicano in Penn Quarter delivers. The best part about dining at Rosa Mexicano is the guacamole prepared tableside. It is fresh and customizable. The avocados are always at prime condition and are a great start to dinner. Although not offered as part of the menu, check out the aguila real cocktail. It is fantastic.

The modern Asian restaurant, Zentan, located on Thomas Circle, is offering a variety of choices as part of restaurant week. If you’re on a date with an adventurous mate, head to Zentan to try some of their uni (sea urchin) or toro (tuna belly) sushi. Also on their restaurant week menu are sake flights and robata grill items.
