4 Subtle Ways to Appear More Feminine

In a world that seems to idolize trashy women, and others who are run around half naked, the art of being feminine seems to be somewhat lost on modern society.

Wondering what is meant by feminine? Think Lady Diana, Princess of Wales. It isn’t too surprising that even after more than two decades, she is still remembered as the “ultimate lady” and role model. The allure, aura and charisma she exuded are definitely exemplary, and if you are trying to achieve a superior level of femininity, then something you should try to channel.

However, in addition to channelling your idea of the perfect lady, consider implementing some of the tips found here.

1. Dress more like a lady

If you want to feel and look like a lady, then you have to dress like one. Try to steer clear from any formless and unflattering clothes, such as frumpy t-shirts and baggy jeans. Think more along the lines of dresses, skirts and figure-flattering outfits like what you can find at a modern and chic boutique for women’s clothing.

It doesn’t matter if you choose mint green or blood red, it is not the color palette that really matters. A real lady is going to be able to pull off any color, as long as it doesn’t clash with their hair color or skin tone. An extremely important tip to keep in mind is to steer clear of neon.

2. Keep the jewelry simple

Another easy tip to help you look more girly is to put on a bit of jewelry. Try out things like stud earrings or delicate bracelets to dress up a more casual look. You can find a few on-trend, cute pieces from all types of online boutiques, and pairing these with even a plain outfit will instantly add a bit of style and ladylike features.

Try to find jewelry that catches your eye. Just remember, don’t overdo it. A few pieces are plenty.

3. Don’t be afraid of makeup

While natural beauty is extremely important, you can also enhance this natural beauty. You don’t have to put on layers and layers of makeup so that you look good. Try to tailor the look to go with the specific time of day and the type of event that you are attending.

A good rule of thumb is to make sure that your makeup bag includes all of the following essential items: lip gloss, mascara, bronzer, eyeliner and natural powder.

4. Avoid the boy haircuts

While there are more than a few feminine women out there who have amazing looking short hair, think Halle Berry and Audrey Tatou, there is absolutely no denying that you want to improve the game and be much more ladylike – you should let your hair grow long.

The fact is, not everyone is going to be able to pull off shorter hair without coming off as a tomboy. Healthy hair is one of the most feminine traits in the entire world. The fact is, long hair is the best way to go.

Feminine flair: Get your ladylike style back

If you want to look and feel more feminine, then these tips are a great place to start. It will help ensure you get the look you want and that you take control of your inner-lady.
