Waitomo Glowworm Caves Tour

The Waitomo district is excellent for remarkable sightseeing. You can enjoy a boat ride under magical glowworms and feel yourself be a part of 125 years of natural and cultural history. Experts will guide you through this tour and share the geological and historical significance of this cave. Waitomo caves are always on the wish list of New Zealand tourists. The Waitomo legend started with the limestone creation at the base of the ocean. These formations are considered the most inspiring wonders of this world.

Rotorua

Your trip to Rotorua will take you through some interesting towns. At Otorohanga, you will get a chance to visit Kiwi House and see the iconic bird of New Zealand. The Te Awamutu is famous for rose gardens.

You can visit Cambridge Township in the heart of Waikato’s prosperous horse breeding district. You can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of lovely tree-furrowed streets and historic buildings. During your journey to Rotorua, you can visit Tirau. This town is famous for its animal-shaped iron buildings and antique shops.

Hell’s Gate Geothermal Mud Bath

View the beauty of picturesque crater lakes and powerful geysers up close. Relaxing in a mud bath or soaking in the hot stream is a great experience. Start your day with breakfast at Kuirau Park in the central city and walk around the public gardens, hot lakes, mud pools and hot foot pools.

Skyline

If you are unable to figure out what to do in Rotorua, you can visit the Skyline Rotorua complex located a few minutes drive from central Rotoru in Mount Ngongotaha. If you start the tour with a gondola ride and enjoy the expansive view of Rotorua, the geothermal areas and lakes.

Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland

It is located almost 27 kilometers to the south of Rotorua, and you can enjoy numerous activities. You can see volcanic activity in the geothermal area. The Lady Knox Geyser is a great place to learn about the mechanics and history of this area. Your journey is incomplete without a visit to the mud pools. The mud volcano was destroyed in 1920 by erosion.

Taupo

It takes almost one hour to get to Taupo from Rotorua. Your journey to Taupo will be quite entertaining because you can view volcanic geography and geothermal parks like the Craters of Moon and Orakei Korako. You can discover silica terraces, geysers and boiling mud. In Taupo, there are different things to do:

Taupo Bungy

In New Zealand, you can’t miss Taupo Bungy, the highest water touch. The bungee jump in the North Island is a real blast, and you can jump out from atop a cliff above the waters of Waikato River. You can enjoy solo bungee or go for a tandem jump.

Skydiving

With expert tandem skydiving instructors, you can jump out of an aircraft from almost 15,000 feet. You can enjoy an incredible free-fall over the stunning drop zone, surrounded by the fresh and clean blue lake. If you want a heart-pounding thrill ride, skydiving will be the best experience for you.
