Use Banana Powder to Erase Dark Circles

There is a new term being used in the makeup community: baking your face. This does not have anything to do with food, but rather with using makeup, usually a banana powder (yellowish based powder used to highlight and cover dark circles under your face) and letting it set on your face after application for about 5 minutes, thus bake on your face then dusting off any excess powder.

A good banana powder, once baked, will cover any and all dark circles. The yellowish color works best with skin tones that range from medium to dark. If you are too fair, the powder might make you look like you have too much yellow on your face, so be sure to test it on your wrist first to see if it blends into your skin tone.

Not only does banana powder completely cover dark circles, it also highlights the area under your eyes, which gives your face more plump and volume, giving you a more dramatic look. It also bakes your makeup so there are no creasShes under your eyes. It all blends nicely and looks flawless once it is baked on your skin.

Sheer Envy Bake, Brighten & Set Loose Finishing Powder from Hard Candy retails for about $6 at Walmart. Not only is it affordable compared to other banana powder brands, but it actually works well. It is a great quality product and lasts all day.

The product comes in a hand-held container with a twist-off top. It has a film covering with holes on top so as not to let all the powder out. By shaking the container, you can control how much of it you want.

Once you have moisturized your face and put on concealer, apply a generous amount of the banana powder to the dark circles underneath your eyes. You can also put some of the powder on your chin and forehead, anywhere you would like an extra pop of highlight on your face. Allow the powder to set for about 5 minutes, and you are done. You can apply your makeup over this, depending on the look you are going for. Be sure to Dust off any excess powder that has not absorbed into your face so as no to look cakey.

This product helps by not having to use as much concealer, since only a small amount of concealer is needed and the banana powder can handle the rest of the job of making sure your dark circles are all covered.
