So Many Parties, So Little Time

Halloween is quickly approaching, which means one thing: where’s the party? Whether you are a couple who wants to win best matching costumes or a single who wants to find a fun hook up using a cheesy pick up line, no one wants to stay at home for Halloween if they have the choice.

So if you are in a relationship, drag your, partner to a party and they will not be sorry as people aw at your costume craft. If you are single, call up your friends and have the best night of hilarious flirting. When else can you ask someone to rub your magic lamp and not be totally judged?

Although Halloween isn’t for another week, tickets to parties are already on sale and you don’t want to risk them selling out. Why worry so much about your costume if you aren’t going to show it off. Strut your stuff whether its with your boo thing or besties. Every adult should know that Halloween isn’t just for kids. Halloween is better than ever before because we still like candy, but now we also like candy-flavored cocktails. Can you say UV Candy Corn Cocktail? Yumm!

Here in the nation’s capital there are a ton of party options this holiday season. So stop what you’re doing and get planning. Here are the hot spots to check out:

Nightmare on M Street

This early celebration is on Oct. 25, letting couples and singles start their Halloween festivities early. Stop by McFadden’s, the Green Turtle or The Exchange for a party that is rumored to be the East Coast’s largest roaming costume party. Tickets to this event, which cost $30, include no cover charge at more than 30 popular downtown bars. There will be both drink and food specials along with a costume contest.

The Hangover Halloween Pub Crawl

From Oct. 30-Nov. 1, check the Hangover Halloween Pub Crawl! Head over to The Front Page, Bread & Brew, Buffalo Billiards or Dirty Bar and get access to all four popular D.C. bars. There will be both food and drink specials, as well as DJs. Dance the night away with your partner and friends, and make Halloween last more than one night. Tickets are $30.

Mansion on O Street Halloween Party

Stop by the Mansion at 2020 O St. NW from 8 p.m.-midnight on Halloween night and enter hidden doors and secret passages. Festivities include a DJ and dancing, costume contests, a treasure hunt, cash bar and even a chocolate fountain. Tickets are $50.

These are just three of several parties going on Halloween weekend in our haunting Capital. If you’re in a relationship you need to buy tickets to at least one, and if you’re single you better be going to all. Halloween is a great time to meet people and get to know them through their costumes. They can be funny, sexy or unique. So share a few cocktails and start mingling. Plus, where else are you going to find the perfect role play partner? Every naughty cop is sure to find their bad inmate at a party, so don’t stay in and be lame and get your freak show on!
