The Pure Romance Experience
If you are looking to spice things up for your next bachelorette or birthday party, I may have some information that may interest you. Do you remember those Tupperware parties that your mother and neighbors used to host? Well, let’s just say this isn’t your mother’s Tupperware party, but it is similar.
I recently hosted a Pure Romance party for some of my friends. We came together and whipped up some great brunch food. While we were sipping our mimosas, Omotunde “Tunde” West, who is a Pure Romance representative based in the DMV, give us a great presentation on goodies and advice for bedroom activities.
She had a variety of products on displaym and we were actually able to smell and taste some of them. From beauty products to vibrating devices, she had a large array of items for my friends and me to check out. Pure Romance offered a variety of beauty products that surprised me quite a bit. There was a shaving cream that was extremely velvety. I also really liked trying the different perfumes containing aphrodisiac smells. One of the perfumes smelled differently on each person. It was fun seeing how it changed on each individual.
I also learned about some products that I didn’t know existed. There are some people who love the idea of pouring hot wax on each other because they think it’s sexy. I, for one, am not interested in being burned. However, Tunde showed us a candle that has wax that does not burn the skin. When you pour it, it is just barely lukewarm and leaves the skin feeling well-moisturized without feeling greasy or burnt.
Another product that I didn’t realize existed is a sheet cleaner. Let’s be real. In the bedroom sometimes things can get a bit messy. To combat wet sheets, Pure Romance created a product called In Between Sheets that actually dries out the stains so that you do not have to change sheets right away or have to be the one that sleeps on the wet spot. This product blew my mind.
Although there were some great products, others did not fare as well with me. I found some of the edible products to be much too sweet. There were a lot that tasted like candy and my sweet tooth is not that developed. However, if you are into candy and very sweet items, you may enjoy these products quite a bit.
I also found the lingerie to be too much for me. Again, this is more of a preference. I thought the lingerie looked like it may not be so flattering for my body type and the selection seemed limited. I’m also the kind that steers clear from purchasing apparel online, so that also made me question the lingerie line. But if you are into very risqué lingerie, then this is the line for you.
Apart from the edible and the sexual, there were a few products that I found to be of great use in a relationship. I specifically found the Date Night cards to be a good investment for my relationship. The pack of cards contains conversation starters. For those in long-term relationships, this is a great way to keep conversation fresh. Each night, you can take a card and it will give you a topic to discuss. This may also lead to learning new information about your significant other that you may not have otherwise thought to ask about.
From toys to edible lotions, my friends and I had a fun time brunching over Pure Romance. Pure Romance is not the only company that will do these kinds of parties, but I definitely recommend our local representative, Tunde. The hostess receives a complimentary goody bag for hosting, which is a great perk. After the party, I purchased the Date Night cards and can’t wait to use these with my boyfriend!
