Commander and Chief Chows Down
On January 21st, Mr. Obama will be sworn in and enjoy a luncheon of the highest office. After taking the Presidential oath, President Obama and guests will retire to the Capitol’s Statuary Hall and enjoy a three course suite of Steamed Lobster and New England Clam Chowder Sauce, followed by Hickory Grilled Bison with Red Potato Horseradish Cake and Wild Huckleberry Reduction and finished by a Hudson Valley Apple Pie with Sour Cream Ice Cream, Aged Cheese and Honey. Just how Obama likes it.
If you’re not a member of the First Family, a supreme court justice, or Joe Biden chances are you will probably have to find your mid-day meal elsewhere. But not to fret, plenty of patriotic DC eateries will be offering tasty food for the masses making their way from the Mall to Inaugural ball.
